Policies for Coronavirus Safety

WH Dance Academy Policies and Procedures for Safe Re-Opening

Please familiarize yourself and your child with our new procedures.  We ask that parents of younger students have a conversation with their child prior to their first dance class discussing the new rules and expectations regarding social distancing, wearing a mask, and dancing in their area.

All waiting areas are closed.  Parents and siblings must wait in their cars or outside rather than inside the studio.  Parents of dancers age 8 and under are encouraged to remain on-site in the parking lot in case of any issues.

Parents must conduct their own health assessment of their dancer prior to arriving at the studio.  This includes taking temperature and discussing all Covid-19 symptoms.  Dancers must not enter the studio if they are exhibiting any symptoms or have been exposed to Covid-19.  When sick, please stay at home.

Dancers should not enter the studio until their class time.  They may wait in their vehicles until their scheduled class time.  Please do not congregate in the lobby.

Dancers need to arrive to the studio in dance clothes.  Changing will not be permitted in the bathrooms.  Dancers are encouraged to wear a cover-up to and from the building as desired.

Anyone age 6 and up must wear a mask to enter the building, including staff.  Dancers will only wear masks while in the lobby and bathroom.  Dancers will remove masks while dancing to ensure they can breathe freely.

Cover coughs or sneezes with a sleeve or elbow.  Refrain from handshakes.

Dancers are required to sanitize their hands upon entering the studio.  Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

To maintain social distancing, a 6ft grid has been marked on the studio floor.  Dancers should dance within their box for the duration of the class.

Class size is limited by the number of 6ft grid squares in each classroom.

Food and beverage is prohibited in the studio classrooms.  Dancers may exit the classroom to the lobby to take a water break.

Please no eating in the studio.  Dancers should not bring food or snacks into the building.

Classes will be dismissed early to allow time to sanitize the rooms at regular intervals.

The ballet barres will not be used for classes until further notice.

The water cooler will be closed until further notice.  Dancers are expected to bring their own personal water bottle from home.

Dancers who have a break between classes must exit the studio.  They must wait outside and maintain social distance or wait in their vehicles.

For any questions which require staff assistance, you are encouraged to phone the studio at 484-797-2966 or wandaholdren@aol.com instead of entering the studio in person.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.  We are committed to your safety!  See you in class!
